Hoffman Fabrics brings us this rich, soft batik cotton fabric, steeped in colours reminiscent of spices from around the world, accented with the shadows of plants and flowers. The hues are so gorgeous, it’s a challenge to catch their colours in photos!

Please note, due to the nature of the batiking process there may be some residual flakes of wax on the fabric of your sling. These will wash off in your first wash and are not harmful. Also, for your first washes, wash in cool water, with like colours to avoid any colour run that may occur.

We began making these slings at the request of a local midwives group, and for over the past decade have been making them for two Canadian medical supplies companies

This weigh sling is extra special, made with care, attention, and affection in our smoke-free home.

These slings are 38″ long, and 29″ wide, with 2 sturdy metal D-rings at either end.    Please note that weigh scales are NOT included with the slings, and unfortunately we don’t carry them (please consult the two companies above if you need one).   Also, they are intended for weighing babies, not carrying them.These make an excellent gift for the midwife, or midwifery student in your life — or get one for your own child’s birth to have as a memento     .
